Bluewater is visual storytelling on the grandest of scales!

Erik Kuhne, the inspired American architect, who designed Bluewater tapped into the cultural roots of Kent’s village heritage, using a fantastical range of metaphors to evoke the landscape, literature, formal gardens and historic buildings of rural England.

What better than a flamboyant Christmas scheme that continues the vision and is as immersive and grand in its own interpretation. The Twelve days of Christmas is told on magnificent floating podiums through a combination of three-dimensional design and digital print.

“When Bluewater was built, each mall had it own distinct look and feel, and that was done through story telling. So you’ll see through the roof of bluewater lots of different stories being told in the terms of the architecture. We wanted to make sure that was mirrored through the decorations and they came up with the 12 days of Christmas story. They’ve done a fantastic job with telling that and it ties in really well with our original philosophy.”
