INTU UXBRIDGE

In the Christmas of 2015, we set out to create a festive scheme for Intu Uxbridge that was inspired by the welcoming retail space; reflecting its fun and positive environment. And what better way to do this than with a combination of animated lighting and colourful designs, incorporating much loved seasonal symbols such as candy canes, baubles and of course a snow man!

Greeting shoppers at the entrance was Frosty himself, proudly wearing his winter warmers; a snug bobble hat and cosy knitted scarf. Covering the centres façade was an explosion of traditionally coloured candy canes accompanied by brightly glowing baubles and sparkling LED branch lights. This cheery design continued throughout Intu Uxbridge, leading the public through the vast space and putting all in a festive mood. Upon entering the main atrium, a glistening spiral Christmas tree could be seen cascading downwards; embellished in colourful baubles, sumptuous candy canes and a festive flurry of snowflakes. Lower level voids were dressed with twinkling LED branch lights and vibrant mirrored disc garland drops. An impressive array of animated lighting was also featured throughout the centre, an amalgamation of illuminated light spheres, snowfall lighting and our much-loved LED branch lights.

To emphasise the unforgettable experience at Intu Uxbridge, we created a bespoke Snowman selfie moment, who as previously mentioned was placed both welcomingly at the entrance and further within the centre. His jolly demeanour ensured the perfect festive photograph and visitors gathered awaiting the opportunity for a snapshot with their fun new friend. By designing an interactive space, it was ensured joyous time was had by all and communities were brought together as they shared the experience before them.
